EMBEDDED PaymenTS

Paying seems easier than ever

With just one click in your App, you can pay for products. A ride with a taxi is paid for by getting off. For the train or bus, you pay by checking in and out with your bank card. Payments are embedded in the use of the product or service. Behind these new payment solutions is software developed by Ximedes.

Efficient, Secure, and Invisible Payment Software Solutions for Banks and PSPs
Ximedes is the only European provider of custom payment software. Our strength is our ability to translate new payment propositions into stable, maintainable, and above all secure software. Software that always works but doesn't show its presence - like payments should be.

We offer our solutions and services to banks, payment service providers (PSPs) and public transport. Ximedes shapes all aspects of new and traditional payment processes.

Onboarding becomes Faster, Easier and More Enjoyable
A payment to a merchant can only be done if that customer is with a bank or PSP. But the European Union has set strict regulations when it comes to the "onboarding" of customers, in part to prevent money laundering. This means that becoming a customer with a traditional bank can take a while and isn't always pleasant. Ximedes software makes this process digital, faster and much more enjoyable.

Speed Up Payment Reconciliation
Once the money from the consumer is on the merchant's account, a payment is completed. While this may seem like an obvious point, the journey of a payment involves many stops and unexpected turns. The data stream that accompanies the flow of money is therefore constantly compared with the transfers. This process is called reconciliation. Ximedes software makes this reconciliation and payout to merchants reliable and fast.

Online payments

If you're looking to start an online wine shop, you'll need a way for your customers to pay for their bottles. To do this, you can connect with an online payment service provider (PSP). Banks are often PSPs as well, and many of them want to help retailers accept money either through a terminal or over the internet.

Since Ximedes's merger with Ginger Payments in May 2022, they now have several plug-and-play components that allow banks and other PSPs to accept payments online. With this set of technical components, banks and other organizations can offer payment service provider services within just a few weeks.

Making the Ginger Components a valuable alternative to developing your own payment gateway from scratch, which usually takes more than a year.

Paying in Public Transport

Gone are the days of waiting in a queue to buy the right ticket from a ticket machine, or using a smartcard that only works within a certain region. Nowadays you can check in and out more easily using your bank card, or use a "Pay-as-you-Go" App to get around quickly and conveniently.

Travel with Your Bank Card
VayaPay makes using public transport simple and easy. Just tap your bank card against a validator to check in, and check out in the same way at your destination.

Behind the scenes, VayaPay calculates the fare for every trip and deducts it from your bank card, taking into account daily maximum allowances and even monthly subscriptions. As a PSP for public transport, VayaPay meets all of the strict standards required for this type of service.

Pay-as-you-Go
Operators use TapConnect to define the products they offer, such as a one-hour ticket or a trip from point A to point B. The prices for these products are based on the number of zones or the distance of the journey.

TapConnect is interoperable, so you can use it across all buses, trams and trains in a region or country. With its Pay-as-you-go App, you don’t even have to select a ticket - just press a button in the App to check in and out and your fare will be billed at the end of the night. TapConnect is seamlessly integrated with VayaPay.

Connected vehicles
Whether on screens or in an app, whenever you check in or out, the vehicle will know which stop you’re at so that it can calculate the correct fare. GIVA is responsible for providing this information – tracking planned routes and actual positions to determine if the vehicle is running to schedule.

It also provides a driver console displaying punctuality data. At the head offices, screens show all vehicles in motion across a map showing their real-time status.
